5th Grade Math Teacher
I graduated from Ouachita High School in 1998. After high school, I attended Louisiana Tech University (Go Dawgs!!!) where I received my bachelor’s degree and graduated in November of 2002.
This is my first year teaching at Sterlington Elementary and my first year in the Ouachita Parish School System. I am currently teaching Math and Spelling in 5th grade.
I started teaching in August of 2003 at Lee Junior High in Monroe, La. I taught 7th grade math there for seven years. I moved to Bossier where I taught 7th grade math discovery at Cope Middle School for four years. I took a break for a few years to pursue my degree in accounting.
I have a wonderful six year old boy named Colt. He is in the first grade at Sterlington Elementary. He is one of the many reasons I came back into teaching. I want to be in his life as much as I possibly can and this job allows for me to be. Colt and I do have a dog named Wrigley. He’s a Boston Terrier.
Things I like to do when I am not teaching:
